Around Town

We love sweats just as much as the next girl, but after months and months of justified athleisure daily, we’re feeling the need to spruce ourselves up a bit. With virtual learning on the horizon for so many homes, getting dressed and ready to tackle the day, whether you leave the house or not, can make a huge difference. Look good, feel great!

So here’s our take on the super casual, but not sweatpants outfit to take you into fall. Start with these light AGoldE jeans, paired with a super affordable Zara take on the shoulder pad top. Finish it with classic slip on Vans, a Ganni bag that puts the “fun” in functional, and of course this chic silk mask.

Above the Waist

We think above the waist dressing should be a formal category these days. "Business on top, party (or comfy) on the bottom” is the new mantra for those of us working from home and on zoom. As such, it’s important to look professional and polished, and we have just the tops to help you on your way. Starting off, we love this perfectly prep sweater, the gold buttons add such a classic touch. We’re also suckers for a pajama blouse like this one (matching pants make it a perfect set), and leopard is always classic, but freshened up with the oversized collar. A crisp white blouse is always in style, and rhinestones add some glam. Animal print takes on a new meaning with this fun Zara take on print, and Equipment stripes are so versatile. If you really need to step it up, a Veronica Beard black blazer will elevate the look. Bonus: all the tops listed can be dressed up or down, jeans, leather pants or black work slacks.

Double Duty

We’re currently rocking our coverups on repeat as we squeeze the last drops of enjoyment out of this hardly normal summer. If we had to buy a new one, this Zara beauty would fit the bill for now, and later. Now, unbutton and loosely tie and rock it over the hot Hunza G swimsuit of the summer, a chic layered necklace and the ever comfy Freedom Moses sandals. In a couple months, keep the necklace and layer on a leather motorcycle jacket and cool sneakers. Good to go.

Neck Party

There’s something about a pair of chic layered necklaces that instantly elevates even the most casual of outfits: a bathing suit, jean shorts and t-shirt, a simple cotton dress. These options from Baublebar and Etsy ( so many cool ways to customize, and the price is right!) will totally fit the bill. They’re perfect right now for summer and will transition easily with your fall button downs and sweaters.
