It’s been a minute but we’re back, and currently fantasizing about what would be in a normal inaugural year, and not the one we’re living with the global pandemic, attempted coups and whatnot. We’re both so bummed to not have the opportunity to 1) dress our fabulous clients for the slew of inaugural events that would usually be taking place around the city and 2) dress ourselves for these same events! So in the spirit of imagination, we each picked out our dream inaugural look, with price being no object. We went big. Jill went with a black, feathered number, sky high black heels, a clutch that does double duty as edgy jewelry and a fab red lipstick. Lauren went with a sleek white sheath, stunning heels with an unusual accent, gold leaf earrings, and a neutral bag with gold accents to tie everything together. Two girls can dream…..

To Us, From Us

With Hanukkah behind us and Christmas right ahead, we’re in gift giving (and receiving mode). While these luxury splurges will not be under our tree or next the menorah this year, two girls can dream, right? So let’s say we were each to choose our dream gift for this painful year, what would we choose? Jill would go with a classic Chanel bag (the large size, of course) while Lauren would choose the Louis Vuitton pillow boot, because why not go luxe for your loungewear.

Winter Warm

We’ve talked a lot about great options for outdoor functions in the fall, but haven’t really touched on some solid choices for true winter wear. For those days when we’re dealing with the brutal DC cold, only a warm coat will do. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite options to cut the chill on those days when only a truly warm coat will do. We love this unique puffer vest for layering over the heaviest winter sweaters and this gorgeous jewel tone puffer coat. A bold plaid teddy coat is always cozy for a winter day, and a classic black puffer is always a closet staple. We have never met a color block we don’t love, and this reversible coat will offer several different looks.

Instagram vs. Reality: Thanksgiving Edition

We are speeding towards Thanksgiving and the holiday season whether we like it or not, and most of us are likely not spending our holidays in large gatherings like we’re used to. With that in mind, we are excited to share a new series: Instagram vs. Reality. Look, we would totally love to rock this chic and comfortable Victoria Beckham sweater and skirt and fab Paris Texas boots for Thanksgiving, but let’s be honest, you’ll likely find us in these cozy Ninety Percent turtleneck sweatshirts and sweatpants with these fuzzy Isabel Marant slides. Still put together, but a more accurate representation of our current lives.

Sweater Dressing

The humble yet cozy sweater dress is back, and perfectly in line with trends in fashion these days. Casual enough to wear around the house but can be dressed up as well. We threw together a little ensemble that will take you through late fall and from errands to an outdoor evening with friends. This sweater dress from Mango can be layered easily and the neutral color makes it even more versatile. We love a little edge to our outfits, so we paired it with these unique and dreamy boots from Stella McCartney and this Nanushka vegan leather puffer (you would never know it’s not real leather!). To top off the look, a dark jewel toned polish from Deborah Lippmann.
